Another player to feature on day dot, Sean “Seany Ward” Ward held the honour of winning the club’s very first Man of the Match Award in the opening day defeat at FC Komrska.

Seany Ward brought with him that perfect mix of bite in the midfield with a dash of cheekiness that allowed him to get away with it, one of those “you’d hate to be playing against him, glad he’s on our team” types.

Chipped in with goals (and cards!) regularly, although both his CSKA red cards were the result of a harsh second yellow. Sean had a cracking 2011/12 campaign that landed him Manager’s Player of the Season in a campaign where The Mods won a record 19 games (61%) in a campaign, and were just minutes away from a Stokes Cup Final.
