As a player, Luke Williamson showed us all in the early CSKA years how to score goals. 25 yards, 0.002 yards, Williamson would score goals. Played most of his CSKA career as a lone striker in a 4-4-1-1 system, if you put on a plate for him he didn’t miss.

Luke won the Golden Boot in each of the first three years at the club, but his best season was arguably the 2014/15 season was his finest. After a couple of years of injury setbacks and operations, Luke started 14/15 in fine form with back to back hat-tricks against Niffy Rangers and Thurmaston WMP in September, and his run of scoring in all of the final 7 games of the season (scoring 10 in the process), propelled CSKA to 2nd place in Division 2. His first Player of the Season Award rightly ensued. 

Luke announced his retirement from CSKA shortly into the 2015/16 season with CSKA playing in Division 1 for the first time and guiding his side to an Arthur Moore Cup Semi-Final.
