CSKA Carnabys Bio

Although he missed the first few CSKA games for being on holiday (unacceptable!), Lee was active right from the beginning of CSKA Carnabys, shining in what turned out to be a trial match in July 2008.

Lee was calm and composed at the back, great on the ball, great in the air, and had a presence about him. During his time he was paired up with Steve Maggs, Jon Brice and Warren Clarke, yet no matter who it was, he looked like he’d played alongside them for years.

Lee was the first recipient of the coveted Player of the Season Award in 2008/09, and followed this with an exceptional 2009/10 campaign where he scored 8 goals from centre-back.

Lee’s time at CSKA was cruelly shortened after a retinal issue ruled him out of contact sports in September 2010 for a year, and then a knee injury ended his 2011/12 season earlier than planned. Having missed the 2012/13 campaign, Lee did return to CSKA Carnabys playing for CSKA II before injuries eventually forced his retirement.
