Dave “down the line” Line was one of the original cast members of CSKA Carnabys, scouted on an infamous evening at Loughborough College in front of his soon-to-be Chairman and Manager.

His youthful appearance made him deceptive to opponents, and much like his fellow Notts Forest friends, had more of a desire to play and the back and make tackles. But he also enjoyed regular stints as a left winger being one of the pacier members of the club.

His best campaign came in 2010/11 where his 3 goals and 3 MoTM awards steered him towards the Most Improved Player Award at the end of the season.

Unfortunately injuries took its toll on Dave, and ended most of his remaining seasons on single figure appearances. Nonetheless, Dave will be remembered very fondly and his 88 first team appearance put him at 18th in the club’s all time appearance records at the time of writing.
