From the day he arrived, you knew we had bagged a good one. Someone who would just destroy us with skill on the ground, dominate aerially and demoralise a goalkeeper with a delicate finish.

With five Player of the Season Awards it’s easy to see how much his teammates rated him. Playing either at the back or in a holding midfield role, Brice would score you a goal or have you voting him Man of the Match most of the time.

At 290 appearances he is the second-most capped player in the club’s history, and holds the club record for the most MotM awards. Scoring 70 goals from what was usually a centre-back position is no mean feat either.

You could even stick him up front, as he proved in February 2019 when he won the CSKA Individual Performance of the Season Award when he came off the bench away at Trinderbox with the score at 0-3 and set up 4 goals as CSKA came back to draw 4-4.

Following Luke Williamson’s resignation in 2016, Brice took over as Player Manager for the 2016/17 campaign a position he held until his retirement in March 2022. A smaller squad, an ageing squad and Covid-19 held him back from success as a manager, but with him at the helm, CSKA had some great sides.
