CSKA Carnabys welcomes new additions to this blended squad. So whether you are a young up-and-coming or a seasoned-pro, we’d love to hear from you if you are looking for your next club.
Our goal here is to look away from the stigma of some Sunday League environments and create a positive one to allow our players and our teams to flourish, whilst remaining competitive, committed and having some fun along the way.
Working with dedicated coaches, we have a regular weekly two-hour training session on a Monday evening that encompasses physical, technical and tactical elements of the game. Usually ending with an 11 vs 11 match at the end to showcase your ability ahead of the matches on a Sunday morning (10:30am Kick Offs).
Our club is one of the few at this level to have a First Team and a Reserve Team, meaning we can offer more playing time to our squad.
We are a self-funded club with all proceeds being invested directly into the club in the form of the nicest kits and the best equipment to enhance your time here. Below is a rundown of our fee structure.

Meet the Coaches
Chris McCafferty
Having played out his CSKA career as a winger with over 350 appearances, it's no surprise McCafferty opts for an attacking high-loaded style of football. Looking to utilise the ball in all areas of the pitch, McCafferty sets his team up to play from the back and progress with intent. McCafferty holds a UEFA C Coaching Licence and is the club's all-time top scorer, most assists and record appearance holder.
Kieran Brookes-Smith
A fountain of knowledge on tactical aspects of the game. Kieran's methodical thinking and ability to read game situations in real-time as made him a key figurehead in the CSKA management team. His skills were instrumental in CSKA II's Stokes Cup success in 2024/25.
Dave Payne
Keen to make sure we are all in good race-trim, Payne will quickly identify intensity and work-rate and factor it into the sessions and games where is is needed.
Gareth Walker
The latest addition to the CSKA management at the start of 2025/26, Gareth Walker uses his 12 season and 199 appearance experience to ensure players remain switched on and motivated to win, whilst keeping players engaged through social aspects important to team spirit.
