Heartache for CSKA as they crashed out of the County Cup at the Quarter Final stage at the hands of Birstall Social.

The Mods took the lead thanks to a Goal of the Season contender by Olly Arnold, some neat juggling over the defender’s head before volleying it home. 

However, a quickfire double from the hosts was nothing less than they deserved having dominated the latter stages of the first half. 

CSKA did find a way back just at the break when Olly Arnold pounced on a Chris McCafferty set-piece to restore parity at 2-2.

The second half was a struggle for The Mods however and with little created by both sides, Birstall did take the chances that presented themselves and went of to win comfortably.
