CSKA Carnabys History
| CSKA Carnabys were formed in the summer of 2008 following the late resignation of FC Knights from the Alliance League. The name derives from the music band The Carnabys, which founder member Luke Williamson was a member of, and the Russian (CSKA) influence is a result of the club's first ever kit being replicas of the Russia kit from the recent Euro2008 Tournament. |
| CSKA currently play at Rawlins College in Quorn, having previously played at Victoria Park (2008/09), and Mossdale Meadows (2009/10 - 2012/13). |
| Luke Williamson was the club's first manager. The first competitive fixture was played at Victoria Park, Leicester on Friday 25th August 2008 which The Mods lost 4-2, with Danny Coulton scoring the club's first ever goal. |
| Chris McCafferty, Andy Pettitt and Kieran Warner all played for CSKA in the inaugrial season and are still active players. |
| CSKA Carnabys II were formed in the summer of 2011 due the growing number of players joining the club, with the first competitive game resulting in a 5-2 victory at home to FC City of Leicester at Mossdale Meadows. |
| CSKA are currently competing in their 16th season in Alliance League Division 1, whilst CSKA II are in their 12th season and play in Division 5. |
| To date, CSKA have played in 379 competitive games, with an overall win% of 42%, whilst CSKA II have played in 303 competitive games, with an overall win% of 25%. |
